Solid State Welders – This job group consists off jobs regarding to a group of welding processes in which joining is produced essentially at temperatures below the melting point of the base metals being joined without the addition of a filler metal. Pressure may also or may also not be used. Processes included are cold welding, explosion welding, diffusion welding, ultrasonic welding, and friction welding. Machine tenders in this group are included in Group 819 as WELDING-MACHINE TENDER
