Car Hop: Drive-in waiter/waitress Serves food and refreshments to patrons in cars: Takes order and relays order to kitchen or serving counter to be filled. Places filled order on tray and fastens tray to car door. Totals and presents check to customer and accepts payment for service. Removes tray and stacks dishes for return to kitchen. Sweeps service area with broom. May also prepare fountain drinks, for example sodas, milkshakes, and malted milks. May also restock service counter with items, for example ice, napkins, and straws.
